This is a recipe for easy, plain vanilla pankcakes. You can serve them with fruits, honey, maple syrup, nutella, banana, hershey’s kisses, jam, butter, nuts, anything and everything that you like, and also by adding whatever ingredients you like in the mixture you can customize this recipe e.g I like to add blueberries in the mixture and it becomes blueberry pancakes, by adding chocolate powder, you can make chocolate pancakes, by adding food colors you can make rainbow pancakes. Possibilities are endless. haha ! So this is just a base, if you like plain pancakes just follow the recipe, but you can always customize every recipe according to your taste.
pancakes
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1/4 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 25g butter, melted

Procedure:
Whisk milk, egg and vanilla together in a jug. Sift flour and bicarbonate of soda into a bowl.
Stir in sugar.
Make a well in center. Add milk mixture.
Whisk until just combined.
After you pancake mixture is ready,
Heat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.  Then brush pan with butter. Using 1/4 cup mixture per pancake, cook 2 pancakes for approx 3 to 4 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface.
Toss them on the other side and cook for another 3 minutes or until they are completely cooked.
After they are fully cooked transfer in a plate.
Cover loosely with foil to keep warm, and it will also keep pancakes soft.
Follow the same steps with the rest of the mixture, brushing pan with butter between batches.
And Pancakes Are Ready To Be Served.
Note:
-Use same big spoon for pouring mixture into the pan, for relatively same size of pancakes.
-If you want to make it healthy, use whole wheat flour with backing powder instead of plain flour or SR flour.
-You can fill them with nutella or fruits, and roll them to make pancake rolls.
